how tall are hobbits?
no, seriously. i always thought they were like around 150 or 160 cm's high.?
|
According to their description in the LOTR, Hobbits tend to stand between 2 and 4 feet tall.
|
how much is that in cm's
in the movie, theire like miniature. from the book, i thought they were kinda bigger than dwarves but smaller then men. |
I'm not sure about the average height, but ffs they need to shave their feet.
if you can't be bothered to shave your feet, PLEASE put on some shoes. nobody wants to see those nasty dogs. |
appx 3 feet. It says in that video that has spok in it about Bilbo
|
hobbits are smaller than dwarves

How tall does a midget have to be to be considered a tall midget, but a midget nonetheless?

3 feet is about 1 metre
|
hobbit motherfuckers.... i hope this interest for hobbits is just on sick joke
|
Boy am I glad someone asked this
![]() THAT is how tall hobbits are supposed to be. Yes, from Willow, the greatest fantasy movie of all time, and the movie that was going to be the lord of the rings movie but the plot was changed at the last minute. Pity, maybe LOTR would have actually not sucked complete balls if they'd cast real little people instead of full size heartthrobs. |
Height, eh? Well, there is something called a Hob-job, if that helps. They never show one in the movies though... well, not the official ones.
Ahem. |
according to my handy dandy LOTR fantasy guide, hobbits are about 4'6'' and 1270mm. i hope that answers your question, bozo.
|
oh, i meant "or 1270 mm" ;]
|
![]() that is a touched up version of the original illustration from the book of Strider ( or aragorn as he's called in movie abominations ) speaking to the Hobbits at the prancing pony inn. Yes I am an angry nerd who grew up reading the books and thinks the movies should die. |
do you think the animated film 'the hobbit' should die as well.
|
dunno. Never saw it. I wish they'd made the hobbit into a movie though instead of starting on book 2
|
the hobbit was written as a children's book, meant for kkids. LOTR was written for adults.
I liked the movies a lot. as a nerd I read the LOTR but I got sick bored with it after about 200 pages on the second book. I could not keep track of all the characters and meandering threads. I should try it again as I have not touched that book since I was 15. I thought the movies did a great job. It is a difficult thing to do, to condense such thick rich books into a movie form, and I feel that Jackson did it admirably. I also remember watching willow and retching at the stupidity. Hobbits are halflings. they are the smallest of the humanopid races in LOTR. |
This is the sort of thread that this board should win awards for.
