in the 90's Sonic Youth did a benefit concert with REM it was the first time I had heard Sonic Youth but cant remember the song. Any Help?

As for the original post, was this a concert you were at or one you watched somewhere? As mentioned, you may have seen the Tibetan Freedom Concert...I can't think of any other R.E.M. related appearances aside from the May '95 tour.

was it from the alternative nrg cd maybe? rem had a song on there and sy did jc.

What a great CD. REM did a version of Drive (live with drums) it is really with the hunt for that one. Totally different than the album version.

SY played Wildflower at the Tibetan Freedom Concert. Just a stunning, stunning version. The Tibetan Freedom shows is another must have compilation CD from the 90s.

ALT NRG is a mixup of various live shows from around the country.
