SYGers in Europe: Enjoy the Solar Eclipse March 20
I was privileged to see a 70% eclipse at noon at the beach here in LA in 2003... it was amazing. The sky went dark, for an hour before and after the shadows everywhere looked like lucky charms half moons! It was bewildering..i will.never forget every single moment

Haven't secured myself a pair of these fancy specs. They were sold out pretty quickly. It's a shame, really. I live on the 3rd floor of a huge residential complex and usually have a nice view from here. But I wouldn't want to risk my eyesight. My last total eclipse was in 99'. I was just 8 at that time. I remember being disappointed back then. But then again, kids don't know jackshit.

I was hungover and slept through the eclipse of 99.

What a spectacular morning (well lunchtime) it was. Wow!! No pictures tho.
We're just a tiny spot in this massive Universe. People stop and think in much different way observing those kind of phenomenoms. |
I thought it was shit.

Last night I arrived home from a business trip in Paris, it had been a sunny clear blue sky for most of the week over there including yesterday. Today it was the most foggy in years
So no eclipse ... |

me too. |
Too cloudy here to really see much. I'm keeping it old skool by saying it wasn't as good as the 99 one. (It wasn't)

Sorry it sucked for most of y'all, maybe you were too far south? Like i said, when we had it here in LA in 2002 it was insane.. the shadows.. then the darkness at high noon.. you could even see part of the corona with your naked eye!
