Which SY album has sold the most?
 

Does anyone know? Of course it really doesn´t matter much, but from that Lollabalooza-article I just began to wonder. I would bet Dirty, but Ann Ashtray said in some thread SY was in most success during that Lolla-tour. Still hard to believe Washing Machine or ATL would be the most selling SY-records. If somebody had any numbers of the SY album sellings, it would have been fun to see them.

im going to guess dirty-- dirty played on the radio (where i first heard them, right along with millions of other people). after that i went to some mainstream record store at a discount mall and bought evol which happened to be in stock. evol!!! i was never the same afterwards.

Didn't we have this discussion at one point and it turned out it was Experimental, Jet....?

Thanx! So sales are quite like I thought, Dirty first, then Experimental, then Goo, then Daydream etc. Those who have the most "pop" songs are the most selling expect Exprimental. But I think Experimental is the reason why sales went down so much. If they had made RR after Dirty, I think they would have become much more popular.

What´s suprising CIS has sold more than BMR. Also, I think the reason why first album has sold only 4100 is the pressings had been quite low. And maybe there has some more sold of all those early albums, because the re-releases. There are no RR or Eternal numbers, but I don´t believe they´ve sold much more than Nurse.

I think these numbers are quite high if you think album sellings in Finland. If Sy had sold here as much, they would have been superstars here.

Well, of course it was great day when I heard EVOL first time. But to me it´s pre-SY and Post Sy-live (Goo was my first album and it hit loud!) Also I think it was 2008 or 2009 when SY became my favourite band of number one!
