^^both sound like fun events......and I remember many here bashing John Mayer back in the day.

Overall, NYE is the most over-hyped/priced night of the year. Sure, my wife and I go out occasionally (usually with other couples)......but having a back yard fire, grilling some steaks and popping some fireworks is always fun to me!

Unsure which we will be doing tomorrow???

Ironically i will probably be one of the handful of people NOT on drugs at the Dead show.. my homie got some doses but i got a nasty flu and i hate taking psychedelics with mucous and congestion...

Of course.. I've never actually turned down doses before that and i have a huge bottle of remy martin champagne cognac which has a high statistical probability to change my mind ;)

Very, very small price to pay for having such a cool kid to hang out with. She looks like a ton of fun. I'm sort of jealous. Congrats.

Tonight at midnight I'll be asleep, which might sound lame but the early bird will be all mine.

And I do drugs anyway.

Tomorrow had to go early to work, so not much celebrations. Going to anyway stay awake to the midnight and watching rockets with my kids.

How could one not bash John Mayer? Fuck him! Also, you people realize I was being facetious, right? I mean, 75% of the people in that ad are dead...

Believe it or not Soup Nazi John Mayer did a FANTASTIC job last night, one of the best sit ins for Jerry's parts i have ever heard in all my years of Dead shows, Ratdog, and Dead cover bands

Hey no one was honestly more surprised than me!



This most definitely the best possible New Year's party in my life time indeed in 50 years of Dead they never played New Year's in LA even once! I will treasure these memories
