NIN in Dublin.

Trent Reznor decides to get off his ass and actually play a gig in Dublin this summer, but wait ..... theres a catch....

they are supporting the Foo fuckin Fighters!

this makes me a little angry, almost as much as the day i found out the Yoof were supporting Chemical Brothers a few years back.

alteredcourse 03.14.2007 05:10 AM

hey , how do you mean supporting the foo fighers ? as in nin featuring THE FOO FIGHTERS !!! no........couldnt be .

fishmonkey 03.14.2007 05:17 AM

yeah!!
i swear to god, the Foo Fighers in Dublin with NIN as guests??
thats the same thing aint it?
NIN will be on and then the Poo fighters after

_slavo_ 03.14.2007 05:20 AM

that's too bad. Seeing foo fighters live must be a harrowing experience.

alteredcourse 03.14.2007 05:29 AM

must be dim but i couldnt find anything on google, where did you hear this ?

sonicl 03.14.2007 05:30 AM

Well at least you could see NIN and then leave before Foo Fighters. It would be worse if you had to stand through a terrible support act in order to see NIN.

Awww. youve got a brave optimism .
i still cant find much to respect about dave grohl and his troupe . i cant wrap my head around this becuase NIN has always been "the big guns" to me , while dave grohl has always been a lil jackass pissing on his own ancestry . it just doesnt match up .

Well it looks like NIN are going to be playing some headlining dates around the same time - or at least, there are a couple listed on ticketmaster.co.uk.

The line-up for Reading/Leeds is announced next Monday, I bet you that NIN will be on there. (I wouldn't be too surprised to see SY there too)

jon boy 03.14.2007 06:11 AM

savage clone will be there masturbating his soul onto trent reznors tight trousers and angry demeanor.

nope.

well thats your fuckin problem then aint it?
i bet you sit at home by gaslight wondering where all those youngsters get all the money these days and how.. "in my day, money wasnt east to come by - nevermind wasing it on those silly rock concerts"

sonicl 03.14.2007 07:30 AM

I have a £15 ($30 / 25 euro) limit on the price I'll pay to see a band, unless it's one I absolutely love, in which case the limit goes out of the window. Even one of my top four bands would have to have something fairly special to offer for me to go above £30 though.

The silly 16-year olds thing is becoming a fairly major factor for me these days too.

'sides...it aint that id dread seeing NIN as much as id hate putting up with a bunch of silly 16 year olds in fishnets.

who asked you anything?

sonicl 03.14.2007 07:35 AM

Oh yeah, the price limit goes out of the window if I get to go to a foreign country too. But that's something I'd only do for one of the top four.

sonicl 03.14.2007 07:37 AM

I love the live music experience, but I resent having to share the room with idiots who are only there for social reasons.

The last show I went to (Cowboy Junkies in a church), everyone there was there to see the band, and you could have heard a pin drop while they were playing. It was brilliant. The show before that, there were loads of people there to see what the buzz was all about, and I couldn't find anywhere to stand where I wasn't being assaulted by peoples' chatter. I left early.

Swa(y), mate, I'm sorry, but I think you'll find that this started the shit flying:

If you "diss" someone else's music taste, they're bound to react. You take this truthfulness thing too far sometimes, staying quiet about something doesn't mean you're being untruthful.
