Ha! Rock biopics are the worst (except for Control... which I haven't actually seen all the way through, but I want to love it)

Ray was abismal. Cash invented shit for dramatic effect. It was better than Ray as a film, but despite having strong actors in both lead parts I've been like "fuck this noise" ever since. God help us when they decide to do an *actual* not-by-proxy film about Kurt Cobain. Or - Gasp! - David Bowie!!

Though Vincent Cassel would make an excellent late in life Bowie. Not eager to see ... I don't know .. Jared Leto or some fucktaint play the Duke in his early years.

Control was excellent. For real tears.

How do you feel about Straight Outta Compton? I haven't seen it yet.

I haven't either. Been kinda on the fence about whether or not I even wanted to, since we had that big discussion about it when it dropped. I like the soundtrack album, but I really dislike Dr. Dre. Seeing him called "THE GENIUS" in the ads makes me puke in my mouth a little since I know he was heavily involved in the process of making the film.

I'm an Eazy-E man.
