The Starman and Her Worshipness in the same year. Outer Space truly is cold and uncaring.

get used to it. everyone is getting old. it is sad, she seemed to be getting a handle on things.

There is good news for fans and Disney's stock price: Carrie Fisher had already filmed her scenes as Leia for Star Wars: VIII before her tragic death

She always seemed really cool/fun as a person.

But Tesla's right. It's the baby boomers. They're gonna start dropping now in pretty quick succession.

She was hilarious. Really, one of the funniest women I'm aware of.

Paul Simon and Carrie Fisher had a Hollywood marriage after the Simon and Garfunkel reunion in Central Park. I think they just got married for fun.

Paul wrote this beautiful song about their relationship that was on his Hearts and Bones album. The song is called 'Hearts and Bones'

Yep. It's odd because it's definitely not my usual go-to brand of comedy, but her book Postcards From the Edge is fucking brilliant. Hell, even the movie was good. She was immensely talented in a number of ways that she was sadly never acknowledged for by the Star Wars crowd. So much more than just Princess Leia.

Very, very sad indeed. When I read the news I threw up my hands and said, "COME ON!" right in the middle of the office. I guess I was talking to God or whatever. I don't know. But really, fuck all this nonsense.

tough woman. RIP

LifeDistortion 12.28.2016 08:58 PM

Debbie Reynolds has died, Carrie's mother. She was 84 and you can put much of that to her age but damn, grief probably played a strong part too. RIP to both women.

Tell us the whereabouts of the lost Malaysia airlines flight 007. We know it drowned in its own diarrhea. What we don't know why the Pope took a knap in the Ka'aba.
