The other day at work, they played master of puppets in its entirety over the radio, and I was like... holy fuck, I still love this album. Say what you want about their later output but man... those first albums are still great. Anyone else with me?

puppets--all classic. and the riff-freak inside me really likes the
time-signature madness of and justice for all. damn shame about the
bass, though.

they also played "sad but true" the other day on the radio at work and i... actually... i mean, it's overplayed, but shit, i was like "jesus, this versus any other song they play on the radio here and this wins."

I loved them when I went through a metal phase in high school

first 3 albums are pretty great. haven't listened to any of them in the last couple of years though, maybe even longer.

i dislike both the fans and the band members.

I think their early stuff is week. It's like listening to a tape played through an old stereo then recorded through a mic and recorded back onto another tape.

yeah, those multi-million dollar budget studio albums like reload and st. wanker are where it's at.

i love ...And Justice for All. one of my favorite albums ever.

Master of Puppets and Ride the Lightning have some pretty sweet songs (especially "Creeping Death").

i saw Metallica live a few years ago; it was fucking awesome.
