Diamond sea
I would really love if sonic youth recorded another epic of beautiful melody and acidic noise like the Diamond Sea...
It has to be one of the best songs I have ever heard... Anyone know where i can get the longer, unedited version???????? |
i always thought that the Diamond Sea unedited one was the version at the end of washing Machine, does anyone know any longer one?
|
t'is a great song though, your right

There is a 26 minute version on the Diamond Sea EP that was released... |
Yes, the 'alternate ending' version was actually longer than the original version, and came as an extra track on the single release. It ends less wildly than the album version, and sort of fades away in an ethereal hum, phase shifting now and then.
It used to be available on the mp3 section of this site before the overhaul, but it's gone now. Try some sonic fansites. |

Blood crystalized to sand
And now I hope you understand You reflect into his looking-glass soul And now the mirror is yr only friend Look into his eyes and you will see That men are not alone on the diamond sea Sail into the heart of a lonely storm And tell her that you'll love her eternally |
it's a reALLY good sound! I think they used the Dixan/box (ludwig phaser) to create all that liquid surroundings.

love ending of that epic song
