I was wondering what happened to that pedal ?

it seems like it hasn't been stolen in 1999, but it's never been used since Washing Machine... that's such a rare and crazy (and expensive) effect pedal, I'm surprised that SY had this in their arsenal but didn't use it more often...

It's in the pedal porn museum now, making a beautiful racket.

That's effin' incredible.

But I think it's one of those effects one should only use on one song. A novelty, a bit of ear candy. Otherwise one runs the risk of having it define one's "sound," y'know?

I don't think I'd WANT a bunch of SY songs to use this. It's more mysterious if it only pops up once.

It is rare, but you can build one yourself if you get into diy pedals. It’s a pretty well documented project.

we're actually talking about building one with a friend who is a real DIY pedal wizard... I'd like to get a simple version, only with the phase shifter making that yayayaya sound (no expression pedal, no fuzz)...
