Joe Lally (Ex-Fugazi) THERE to HERE
 

Thoughts on this album? I like his playful social insight
and clear vocals.

I like it, but i've only listened to it once.

Reading the lyrics put me on edge, they are a little basic in parts, but when he sings them it works, and I'm not sure why.

the album cover sends a very roots music signal. a crumbling
house with trees growing out of it? that spells folk to me. or at
least post-folk or something! anyway, yeah, its pretty powerful, the
performance.

I also love the vibe of it, some of the songs not so crazy about though.

I wan't very motivated to check it cuz his songs were my least favorite on the fugazi albums, but I'm more curious after reading an interview with him.
