Master Cleanse diet, look it up... it's basically a fast, and you only drink this lemonade drink, and then salt water in the mornings... there's more to it, but that's basically it. Anyways, it can totally detox your body, and you lose about 2 pounds a day in the process.

That's awful. Here is what I am planning.

beer (except 1 with dinner on every sunday, and whatever I drink at weddings)

plus I am going to seriously watch my cheese intake

I'm gonna eat more:
field greens and fiber in general
fruit

I'm going to:
go on mile+ walks everyday
and start working out a little

beef is good and perfectly safe when you eat good quality; try eliminating allergens like gluten (it happens: wheat/rye/barley/oats).
i'd rather eat a piece of meat than a bag of bread. for fucks sakes. get rid of the carbos man. that's what porks you up. say goodbye to pizza and potatoes. switch to brow rice, millet, what the fuck else wazzit, hm.. uh-huh. but yeah. ha ha. ok.

Well I think the main thing for me is that if I cut down on junk food and really fat foods, control my portions, and eat more fruits and vegetables.

One small helping of rice with dinner isn't bad, but I don't need to get a second helping.

Just that sort of stuff. Eating a more balanced diet with smaller portions and getting regular exercise and maybe trying to build a little more muscle so I can pick up big heavy things (which I find myself doing once or twice a week) easier.

don;t believe the bullshit.
asians and hispanics the world over use rice, white rice, as their main foodstuff, combined with some saucy side dish served atop the rice. they are not fat.
rice is good for you. fat is good for you. everything is good for you. everything is BAD for you if taken/eaten too much.

ha ha, it's true, but sometimes you need to have an excess in the opposite direction to balance things back. sort of like affirmative action. if you're addicted to sugar, for example, it's easier to cut sugar & sweetener altogether & destroy your sweet tooth, then it's easier to eat normally.

I stopped eating meat a few months ago and I have very slowly started to lose weight. Wheat toast with margarine is the best thing everrr.

I'd recommend a good, regular form of exercise list gym work or running. I've lost a stone so far this year by starting to exercise properly, and feel way better for it. The old beer belly is almost gone!
