Lolla lineup announced
It's not bad but not great. like why is BLue October playing again?
I'm excited for Sean Lennon, polyphonic spree, pearl jam, LCD, Modest Mouse, Yo La Tengo, Pete Yorn, and Silverchair. This lineup seriously lacks in big headliners though. Like the Virgin Fest has The Police, Smashing Pumpkins and Beastie Boys. Here's the lineuo Pearl Jam • Daft Punk • Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals
Muse • Iggy and the Stooges • Modest Mouse • Interpol
My Morning Jacket • Satellite Party • Yeah Yeah Yeahs
Snow Patrol • The Roots • Patti Smith • Kings of Leon
The Black Keys • Regina Spektor • Spoon • Lupe Fiasco TV on the Radio • Pete Yorn • G. Love & Special Sauce Paolo Nutini • Amy Winehouse • LCD Soundsystem Clap Your Hands Say Yeah • Silverchair • Femi Kuti & The Positive Force Yo La Tengo • Slightly Stoopid • The Hold Steady • Jack’s Mannequin
Stephen Marley • STS9 (Sound Tribe Sector 9) • M.I.A. Blonde Redhead • Sparklehorse • Sean Lennon • !!! • Blue October Son Volt • Motion City Soundtrack • The Polyphonic Spree Ted Leo and the Pharmacists • Peter Bjorn and John
Silversun Pickups • CSS • The Rapture • The Wailers Roky Erickson & the Explosives • Tapes ‘n Tapes • Heartless Bastards The View • The Cribs • The Fratellis • Ghostland Observatory Tokyo Police Club • Rhymefest • Soulive • Cold War Kids Annuals • Fields • Electric Six • Elvis Perkins in Dearland
Bang Bang Bang • Bound Stems • High Class Elite • Carey Ott • Matt ROANSam Roberts Band • The Black Angels • Charlie Musselwhite • Aqueduct Juliette & The Licks • Dios • Viva Voce • David Vandervelde Los Campesinos! • Chin Up Chin Up • Ryan Shaw • Colour Revolt The Satin Peaches • Illinois • Arckid • Mikey Avalon • The 1900’s |
There are a lot of bands there I would see if it was a $5 gig on one evening, but if I were to pay Lollapolloza prices and this was the line up I got, I would be dissapointed.
|
i wanna go! damn it!
although these are the only bands i'd like to see, and ive already seen most of them, i bet all the others would be great to though! Pearl Jam • Iggy and the Stooges • Modest Mouse • Interpol • Yeah Yeah Yeahs • Patti Smith • Sparklehorse • Sean Lennon • The Rapture • |
i am so there.
|
Iggy and Patti.. I'd go, were I within a few hundred miles of Chicago.
|
Wow! Not a single band on there that I'd pay to go and see. Impressive.
|
The line-up is pretty ok, can't wait for pukkelpop though.

I'd go if the line-up was this:
iggy sy jamc pixies go4 bauhaus tvotr |
I think it's funny that they're treating satellite party like a big deal, does anyone really care about a new Perry Farrel band?

ha ha. i found about 5... maybe 6. no, 5: Patti Smith TV on the Radio Yo La Tengo Blonde Redhead !!! wonder if it's worth it though. |

well its Perrys festival, so he can threat them like a big deal and no one can do anything about it. |
it's barely his festival anymore from what I understand, he's a figurehead but I belive that he has little power. But, yeah that is why they are treated like a big deal.

dude.... |
when they say the Wailers, are they reffering to the 60's garage band or a new band with the same name?
|
The reggae band that Bob MArley once fronted. I wonder if Stephen MArley will join them for some tunes.
|
just the fact Yeah Yeah Yeahs are back, that is worth it right there. easily 20 bands on that list I want to see.
|
there are a lot of nice bands, but there's more lame acts. thus, i dub thee lame-a-palooza.
|
g love & special sauce? is this 1994?
|
FEMI FUCKING KUTI, Bitches!
