yet another reason why guns should be outlawed.

Rob Instigator 04.16.2007 12:18 PM

why not outlaw sociopaths? what do you think they killed that fucker with?

jon boy 04.16.2007 12:26 PM

nojust get rid of the guns that would be best.

Savage Clone 04.16.2007 12:30 PM

I don't have any guns and I'm not terribly interested in them, but having the cops and the government being the only armed people in a country doesn't sit well with me either.

screamingskull 04.16.2007 01:07 PM

I hope Michael Moore either makes a documentary or writes a book about this, when he did the documentary for the columbine shooting he managed to (with the help of some of the victims) get Walmart to stop selling ammunition!, maybe he could get rid of guns this time, although i think guns are part america's roots and i doubt it will happen.

Rob Instigator 04.16.2007 01:11 PM

the reason weapons are not as regulated in the USA is because the foundes of thenation understood that, thorughout history, the ruling powers always disarmed a population to control them.
this is as it should be I think. the problem lies in our culture, one that worships power opver everything else. a handgun can make the weakest among us feel powerful, and that is why they are so addicting.

Ive said this already in the other thread, but my standpoint is that pointing a gun at someone and pulling the trigger is not only physically but psychologically easier than using another means such as a knife/bat.

The point about finding a gun, perhaps this is true, and todays tragedy would have probably happened anyway, but out of however many killings there are by guns, how many are the type who "would have done it anyway?". The mentalists will kill anyway but im sure there are many who have killed with a gun who wouldnt have premeditated it to such a degree.

screamingskull 04.16.2007 01:21 PM

Dylan and Eric had knives as well as guns, they didn't use them though.

they were victims themselves, it doesn't make what they did okay or even understandable, but i don't think they are totally to blame for what happened.

On the Columbine thing, if they just have knives they might kill half as many people. But thats one of those premeditated things where they would get their hands on guns anyway.

cryptowonderdruginvogue 04.16.2007 01:27 PM

i called my 2 friends at virginia tech and they are fine
thank god

people, getting rid of guns will not solve problems like this
what about homemade bombs? knifes? etc.etc.etc.
we need more security at public places
more cameras
etc.etc.etc.

Yeah i know im from South London, a lad i knew in college was arrested for walking down the street brandishing a handgun, high as a kite. and that was about 4 years ago, i know its got alot worse recently.
This is one of those drastic situations, i mean Dunblane happened, he was gonna do it anyway. The point is make it as hard as possible to get guns to people. Imagine if guns were legal here, the past 6 months would be nothing.

if guns posed any threat to the political status quo is the states they'd be outlawed in a flash.

With all due respect screamingskull, what fucking good would that do, apart from boosting Michael Moore's bank balance and ego?

demonrail666 04.16.2007 04:19 PM

He tried to do it with Bowling For Columbine, anyway. Making a film about this situation would just be repeating what he said in that.

max 04.16.2007 10:31 PM

funky that just 2 days ago i write a topic about columbine killers getting praise on youtube, and today shit hits the fan.

damn.

Rob Instigator 04.17.2007 09:25 AM
