I remember a few years ago (and by that I mean probably five) reading an interview with Johnny wherein he was asked about his thoughts on punk rock and what he enjoyed listening to. He said he didn't care for punk rock, and at that moment he wasn't really listening to anything, but he did like Culture Cub.

Do I feel guilty about an imperfect life?

If I am your definition of boring and a sad junkie loser like johnny thunders is your definition of exciting, then so be it.

I said "Rob, you're boring." Not "Rob, you're boring, and by the way, Johnny Thunders if my definition of exciting."

I simply think that he had a knack for writing good, short rock and roll songs. I don't usually spend my time thinking about his copycats. Clearly, Heroin & Co. are not good for you, and totally ruined his career. I'm not saying he's some sort of martyr, so get off your high horse, if you please. He wrote enough good songs in my opinion to warrant being a fan of his, and I like him even better solo than with the Dolls if I'm honest. I do think it's a shame he died, seeing as how he was quite young (maybe not for a junkie, but you understand what I'm saying). He might have thrown his life away, but I still find his music far more enjoyable than that of his peers.

I should shut up. Sorry for posting such stupid crap. Just cause I do not enjoy the dolls or johnny thunders does not mean anyone else cannot enjoy it.

Is this the art show that will include your Vonnegut piece? You posted something about it not long ago--it all looked very, very good.

I'm putting two of my own things in our school's student art show. Definitely not as big of a deal as your own show, but there is that pressure to have everything finished, on top of normal school work which includes a few more paintings that have to be completed within the next two weeks, plus four papers, two speeches, and tests galore. One painting has to be a self-portrait, the thought of which makes me want to stab someone. I still haven't come up with a good idea for it. We pretty much have total freedom/control over how we approach it. I could draw Cookie Monster if I wanted to, but I don't want to take the douchebag route on this one.

Yeah, he very obviously strived to be like Keith, but musically I don't think there's much of a problem. David Jo's Jagger persona always seem much more apparent to me.
