Bright Eyes
I'm listening to Cassadaga. Don't know much about this band and I'd like to hear more.
Which album should I get first? |
"lifted" is the droids you are lokking fer.
|
Thanks. I'll check that one out.
|
fevers and mirrors is my favourite
|
I take we're not talking about an Art Garfunkel song then.
|
What to listen to next?
Maybe try Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers' B-side, "Casa Dega." Bereft of ideas of his own, apparently, that's what Connor did. (Petty/Campbell) Well the clouds rolled by In the big blue sky As the sun beats down on Casa Dega And the moon pulls the tide And the tide brings night But night is more than just night in Casa Dega Chorus: Oh, baby and I Think I’m starting to believe the things that I’ve heard ‘Cause tonight in Casa Dega I hang on every word She said... ...to me As she holds my hand And reads the lives of a stranger Yeah and she knows my name Yeah she knows my plans In the past, in the present and for the future Chorus: Oh, honey... Bridge: Baby fools pay the price of a whisper in the night in Casa Dega Time rolls by and night is only night, can I save ya? |

that might be a more interesting conversation. |
ew...
bright eyes are one of the worst bands i've ever heard... |
Petty's "Casa Dega" is a better song than Garfunkel's "Bright Eyes."
But anyway, this new Bright Eyes album also takes a cue from Sufjan Stevens by profiling a certain area. Sorry about the heat, hehe; consider my posts as bumps. |
Bright Eyes are great, if you don't admit it you're an indie bitch.
My favorite album of theirs is 'I'm Wide Awake It's Morning'. The music videos are pretty emo but the songs are fine. |

i positively detest them
they make me fucking cringe-- they're vomit-worthy i wouldn't take an album even if it was free no disrespect to fans, especially the lovely schizo. enjoy what you enjoy & have fun i just wanted to register my dissent, but-- de gustibus non est dispudantum ps: Quote:
don't provoke me... ;) :D |
just pure shit. even people i know who used to be into them hate them now. terrible terrible shit.
god. it's just so bad! |

no. not at all. |
You know, Connor is from Omaha. Thus people think he is some kind of legend in these parts, and dare not talk bad about them in record shops here. Terrible ambassador for this city.
I could give a shit less. Boring. |
The kids who adore him are the reason for most people disliking him so much. If he weren't adored by emo kids and he were a friend of Thurstons, he'd have everyone on here sucking his sweat stained ballbag.

thats too fucking convoluted explanation. and false. i dislike him cos he SUCKS. sucks horribly but really horribly. tommy gnosis, aka pagoda-boy, is thruston protege, and he gets the same treatment. what his name. mike something-- i dont give a fuck. |
i'm wide awake it's morning, fevers and mirrors, a collection of songs
but anything is good. start with all the stuff from the past 10 years and work your way back to his really early stuff. their live show is amazing. i just got back from seeing them at the hard rock. conor walked right by everyone while we were in line and nobody recognized him. |
bright eyes is a joke novelty act.
|
He's a good songwriter. Even though I don't really listen to the dude. Writes some fine modern day folk songs. His lyrics are fantastic.
