pardon the shameless plug, but i have to do it.

my band, wilderness pangs (http://www.myspace.com/wildernesspangs), will be playing three dates throughout the south in the next three days. it's the first time we've been able to play outside of our home city as a proper unit.

tomorrow night (thursday, may 24th), we're playing in houston with the weird weeds (http://www.myspace.com/weirdweeds or http://www.weirdweeds.suchfun.net) and jana hunter (http://www.myspace.com/janahunter) at the proletariat. it's an all ages show and starts at about 7pm. that doesn't mean i won't be shitfaced, though.

friday night (may 25th), we're playing mobile, alabama with the weird weeds at satori sound coffee shop (SY visit this place every time they go through alabama!). this show'll probably start a bit later.

saturday night (may 26th), we play new orleans with the weird weeds at a bar called tarantula arms. i'm almost positive that this one won't have a cover charge. if the bar is lucky, i'll blow out one of their speakers again.

so yeah, if anyone can, try and make it out. walk up to me and tell me that you're from the board and i'll play in really inappropriately short shorts.

i mean...it's not like i'll charge you cover or not buy you a drink or anything. but if you can't make it, i'll understand :-(

uuuuugh! these shows fucking sucked. for real.

houston-we played to a roomful lof chatty boobooheads. our set got cut to 15 minutes because we got there super late. one person bought a cd and we made $64. we played really well, though.

mobile-we played a short set to a few people, but mostly our friends. made $12, then went downtown to maybe play another show, but decided to just go home instead. again, we played really well.

new orleans-sucked in every aspect. our amp cut out on us. the bar only had one speaker. we didn't make any money, even though the bar promised us a cut of what they made off liquor. that's the second time this happened to us at this bar, so fuck them.

I pity you, man, I hope the next time will be better.
