Paik (the band, not Nam June)
 

After a little search on the forum, I noticed that the only boarders (not counting me) that ever mentioned them are:
Toilet & Bowels (he put them on a list of recommendations)
Phlegmascope (he put them on a "Things that have raised my interest" list)
Savage Clone, who said "The main guy in Paik is one of the coolest looking rock dudes I have seen in recent years." and "
Paik should change their name to Fucking Rock Power." among other things
charlie (mentioned them in the terrastock lineup)
darthblav (mentioned them in a sort of "metal" list)
trance feedback (mentioned them in a "band with non standard tuned guitars and asked how was their set at terrastock)
I probably missed some others, but not many.

Nobody else listens/likes them on this board?

what do they SOUND like?

Like a sandpaper heaven. (?) To me this makes some sense.

they're a sort of "space rock", "post rock", droney thing, each record is quite different from the others.

The band june paik are much better

I saw PAK once, they were pretty good (Ron of the Molecules) but never PAIK.

Noooouh... :( I don't even know if they ever toured italy... Well, we'll hire them for our wedding, 'kay? But I bought their dvd, so at least I have an idea of their live performances.

Beware, the video quality is kinda bad, but the sound is good/really good (in my opinion), I was kinda disappointed in the beginning, but when the music kicks in you won't even care about the video, to an extent.

First you gotta listen to Paik, then you can be our official cook.:D

This band makes my mind drift in a really peculiar way. I think that's the reason why I like them so much. They're not a "groundbreaking" band, but still--- oh, no need to promise, I suggest you to listen to something from "corridors" and then something from "satin black" to get the "full spectrum" of their music. Hope you'll enjoy them.

So, when will we get married, exactly?
