Sonic Youth Gossip - California 'Daydream Nation' shows

Howdy folks--well, it's started. The long-awaited, uh, Daydream Nation tour...part two? I know some people are puzzled by the idea of playing a 'classic' record straight thru (in multiple cities, even!), even if it coincides with the deluxe reissue, but frankly I'm too excited about hearing songs like 'The Sprawl' 'Cross the Breeze' 'Hey Joni'...fuck, pretty much all of em, to overthink the nature of the gigs, cuz I have no doubt they'll be awesome.

Which brings me to the California gigs -- surely many on this board are attending one or the other, or both? I'm currently expecting to attend both, but would probably lean towards LA if necessary. Always have a blast w/ the LA SY fans + would definitely like to meet up w/ some folks from the board. Any comments on the venues? I haven't been to either of them.

Anyway, I hope SY are comin' your way this summer, I can't believe all of the different territories (many uncharted!) they'll have visited when the year is done. Daydream Nation indeed...
