My sister got diagnosed with asthma and is getting discharged from the Airforce yesterday. Maybe you're brother will be lucky and have a heart murmur or something.

SynthethicalY 06.08.2007 01:34 AM

Hope you are ok, and he will be as well.

musicfallinglikesnow 06.08.2007 06:40 AM

Best wishes to you and your brother Alien. I didn't know it was now so I left you something at msn. Sorry for that.
Anyway, let's hope he remains at home. Best for him.

bye man, is he going on like a service or to war?

Green_mind 06.08.2007 01:08 PM

good luck to your brother, my brother went to iraq with the TA, said he saw some gruesome stuff over there.

ALIEN ANAL 06.11.2007 07:11 AM

well today was a sad fucking day
he left at 12:30 pm and it was very sad
everyone cried and now i have no little brother to talk to at home. :(

gmku 06.11.2007 09:26 AM

This is just so fucking weird, to hear of people going into the army. It's not like there's a draft or anything. It's not like during Vietnam when kids were sent involuntarily to their deaths.

I understand that Guard and Reserve people who never thought they'd get sent to war have fallen victim to unfortunate timing with this war. And that is not fair. In the past, Guard and Reserve members have filled in stateside slots while the "real" army went overseas to war. In fact, Guard and Reserve members have not been used to fight since WWII. So in this sense, I think today's Guard and Reserve members have been duped and treated wrongly.

However, on some level, anybody with any kind of commitment to the military these days, whether that's in the guard or reserves or active duty, must know that going to war and fighting in Iraq is a very real possibility.

ALIEN ANAL 06.11.2007 09:30 AM

well if noone joins the army we wont have one :P

gmku 06.11.2007 09:37 AM

Yeah, gee, suppose they gave a war and nobody came.

It's sort of like the Iran hostage situation in the 1970s. Americans were outraged. But few people stopped to think that the hostages knew the danger when they took their assignments in Iran, that the risk of being taken captive in that rogue country was pretty great.

Don't get me wrong. I sympathize with troops who get sent to Iraq. I think they're being placed in harm's way for no good or just cause. I hate seeing them go. But we also need to remember they've made the choice to go.

ALIEN ANAL 06.11.2007 09:44 AM

its much more than just going to iraq and shooting people though
there is a lot of peace keeping involved
a lot of the army was sent over to bali when the tsunami happend

gmku 06.11.2007 09:51 AM

Well, of course. But that's like saying there is a lot of saving kittens from trees when you're a fireman. There's that--and there's the thing you were really hired for.

ALIEN ANAL 06.11.2007 09:53 AM

well u go make a country with no army and when im bored and feel like taking it ill come and shoot the place up.

gmku 06.11.2007 09:57 AM

You want me to make a country. I can't even make my own bed. Get real.

ALIEN ANAL 06.11.2007 09:59 AM

you know what i mean
it just seems like such an easy thing to say 'oh the armys dumb' bla bla
and i dont think the tsunami or the shit over in indonesia was just kittens in a tree.

gmku 06.11.2007 10:11 AM

Did I say the army's dumb? I served as an officer in the Air Force for 10 years. I helped Ronald Reagan bring down the evil Soviet empire.

It's just that anybody who enlists these days must know that he or she stands a good chance of going to war. I can understand worrying about somebody you know in the army. At the same time, they've made the decision to put themselves in harm's way, and if anything, rather than worry or feel sorry, I'd be pissed off at them.

ALIEN ANAL 06.11.2007 10:17 AM

sorry, im not meaning to attack you
just a bit sensative today and prob for a while
