Eyehategod
They rarely get a mention here. Do people here have something against them, or what?

I've never heard of them. Have they ever played at the Royal Festival Hall?

lol, no. ![]() I can't recommend this album highly enough. |
The 'god rock hard. Surely an influence on the likes of Iron Monkey and other sludgecore faves.
|
I like the band name!
|
What was the road like from there to Comet Gain? Did you bump into any Velocette?

one of my faaaaaaaaavorite bands; dopesick is one of the best, heaviest albums ever.
i can sit here and talk hyperbole about them but truth is, i already wrote extensively about them: http://oscillatorzine.blogspot.com/2...ourselves.html (yes, i do realize the dude's name is mike not andy williams, but i had moonriver on my mind when writing this). |
I saw them play opening up for White Zombie sometime in 1992-1993. Heavy heavy crazy
They always had great shirts. |

wow, i wish i had been there. |
I once had a very mad idea of travelling to New Orleans just because. I didn't do it of course. I stayed in bed and watched TV instead. For a month.
Anyway, as scenes go the Nola one is about the only one worth giving any sort of a shit about. |
Good to see others here love the heavy shit.
Anybody like facedowninshit? eyehategod fans should dig it. |
I've not heard of them, but I'll check them out. Thanks
|
Thoughts on the EHG covers record?
I've not yet heard it. |
I've heard some samples but don't have the actual record. Didn't think any of the ones I heard added much to the originals, I have to say.
|
I saw them opening a White Zombie show as well. Good shit!
Also, one of the best band names ever. |
Dopesick is an awesome album, super heavy, strong vocals without being fuggin genre cliche crust.
