where the fuck is Daydream Reissue in Calgary?
 

I've checked every chain record store + indie stores (that I know of) around the city and nobody has it.

nobody had it on the release date, and another tuesday passes and still no daydream.

is anyone here from Calgary and got one?

I bought mine last night at Virgin for $22...not in Calgary, sorry mate.

canada always gets fucked w/ 'non-important' release dates. its a disturbing trend. i haven't seen it here (victoria) either, but i haven't been to a record store since the weekend...

do you know anything about the jubilee auditorium in calgary? seeing wilco there in august, would be curious to know what it's like. last year i saw them at macewan hall, which was great. some damn fucking hot weather, though. damn fucking hot. damn.

I went to the indie store I go to often, to find it.

I haven't had the cash to go buy it yet, unfortunately... but when I do, I probably won't buy it in town...

Apparently the release date was pushed back to the 19th for Canada. I went over the border today since I'm in Niagara Falls and got my copy, though, since even with the exchange, it was cheaper over there.

Its a supply and demand issue. You can't buy this one at a gas station like the Titanic VHS.
Don't even bother with some major outlet.
Unless you want to saviour the look on the zit faced kids face.
Just order from that store in Guelph.
or Just use an on-line retailer and be patient.

wilco at macewan hall? man that would be sick. I saw them at Massey Hall in toronto though, which is one of the best venues I've ever been to.

Macewan hall is like a cafeteria at a university. I saw dinosaur jr there last month and they played in the upstairs part of the hall which is even smaller then the downstairs part that they use for most gigs.

HMV has stocked every single Sonic Youth Reissue, and they've had all the matador reissues (pavement, chavez) on the realease date.

SAme with futureshop I believe

you can't go to a store here and buy slint's spiderland or any sebadoh or any krs release for that matter but you can easily get any sonic youth album if it's in print.

the deluxe editions cost some $60 usd aprox. but you can easily get them.
