Part Four - Art School Confidential

So the show was on monday, and it all worked out really well. I wasn't allowed to have my slideshow projected onto a wall like i had wanted, as other "more kiss-ass students" were using the projectors. I ended up having my work on a computer monitor, so the slideshow just ran over and over again on that.
here's a photo of a polaroid of that

There was some really great work there, there was a girl in a box doing performance art, and all around the college were TV screens of her inside the box. There was this really strange room that just had grass on the floor and a fridge in the middle full of cheese.
My favorite was this piece

It was a picture frame with all this tar coming out of it, and stuck in the tar was computer parts and roller skates and pogo sticks. It was really huge and very kool.

here's a better photo of that and my piece.

That's interesting stuff. I meant to ask you a while ago: Is your college the one in Birmingham that has a course for Italian cinema studies? I have a friend who's doing it and there are only 7 students in it, so it's quite easy to spot.

i know they do film studies as an A level, but i don't know about Italian cinema studies. I wouldn't be surprised, its a massive college.

i have decided to become a polaroid photographer, Polaroid's and occasionally film (Colour or B&W), but mostly Polaroids.

This after my teachers told me my polaroid's were better than my final photographs which were taken using colour film. I don't mind, i love polaroids, i just wish they weren't so damn expensive.

Polaroids are fantastic.

screamingskull 06.27.2007 08:22 AM

they work out at about £1 a polaroid though.

somewhere in the western united states, a native american stirs inside the smokey confines of his teepee.

The Dream is always the same...

funny accents, teapots and a magic device that steals your soul (and traps it on a piece of paper). big medicine indeed.

he's rolls over slowly and stretches, while casually gazing at his display of scalps that were taken from the white devil on the field of battle. hot blood, smoke, sweat and screams.

a nearby barking coyotes bring him back.

"nothing I can't handle" he mutters to himself and pulls the grizzly bear fur back over his head.

as it always does, the dream returns. but this time....it seems closer. suddenly he's not so sure.
