Q. I witnessed Shellac at ATP nightmare before christmas a few years back having taken a cocktail of shrooms, weed and ale. You sounded like Tontos Expanding Head Band. Was this intentional?
A. Other than in some weird kind of lasagna, I don't know how you could get all that in you without it being intentional.

Why would anyone think he was an ass? Because he's honest? I met him outside of a Shellac show about 5 years ago. Seemed like a nice dude to me!

agreed, albini is the man.

he's been really nice after the shellac show I went to. But in that band, the most amazing human being is Trainer, in my personal experience. BUT, since we're kinda talking about albini here, I like him and his music and his "straightforwardness" (?) when he expresses his opinions. This does not imply that I share his thoughts/pov , but this is not the point.

Oh, that thread is really nice I stumbled into it a while ago, I should print it and read it offline.
