...That is all.

I've only been to Ireland but I loved the rolling hills and Bed & Breakfasts.

I would have loved the bars if I wasn't 13 years old at the time.

Smart cars?

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 09.04.2007 08:22 PM

Yeah. That's it.

Thing is, on a US highway you'd have no chance against the huge SUVs and trucks.

Fuck the gov't for destroying the railroad industry.

I dunno. The fact that even when it's busy, it seems relaxed, I guess. Although obviously that doesn't apply to England, when we have no idea whatsoever how to be laid back.

off the top of my head....

you use coins for 1 and 2 pound and euros, the us uses paper bills for 1s and 2 dollar bills are rare to find

actual global coverage of sports

less congestion due to the better rail systems

less violence and more sex on tv

on average, better festival lineups

i found this bizarre at first, because coins are a pain. now we got used to them, but the problem is that they give impression of "few" money (its not!) and people spend them more easily, whereas that doesnt happen with paper money.

ive discovered this too....these little $2 aussie coins fly out of my pocket...whereas my Washington's were a lot harder to let go of...

pantophobia 09.05.2007 11:20 AM

i find it a little annoying cause it costs like $70 mil more to use paper which has a short life span compared to coins which are so durable

and dollar coins would be nice for vending machines or turnstyles, compared to the potential of the machine not taking a dollar cause it was too ripped or something

and there actually are dollar coins, but they are not being made to replace paper, only to complement, and americans are too damn stuborn to give up the bills
