They played in Canada in 2006...

k-krack 10.27.2007 11:06 PM

Nope, they never ever come here.

Psych.
They're here pretty much every tour, but not for many dates... Usually Toronto and maybe like, Vancouver or something?

RanaldoNecro 10.28.2007 12:00 AM

Well,

When I spoke to Lee this evening in Toronto he said that he spends a bit of time up here.

He put on a great show tnite with Text of Light...

They've been here many times. They should start visiting the east coast more. They didn't touch Toronto or Montreal this tour

What? They went to Toronto? When was this?

k-krack 10.28.2007 01:39 AM

August 8, breau! Not this summer past, but summer 06...

Chris Lawrence 10.28.2007 03:10 AM

I think Montreal and Toronto are pretty much guaranteed a show on every 'major' tour, ie: supporting a new record every 2 years. They've been hit every 2 years for the past decade. Vancouver, unfortunately, hasn't fared so well... they didn't play it once between 1995 and 2002, and skipped it in 2006, which makes 2 gigs for Vancouver in the past decade.

I doubt they'll ever return to the prairies/maritimes unless opening for another act...

Danny Himself 10.28.2007 08:04 AM

Vancouver's pretty close to Seattle though. I mean, the drive is a little hellish and you have to spring for a hotel, but if you want to see them bad enough you will.

When have they been there? Did something happen, or just no turnout???

But the Toronto date was... the best night of my fucking life ahha.
I don't know what song it was, but they were seemingly about to go into full noise assault or something... or have some BANG of an ending, and Thurston jumped... and upon landing, ripped the patchcord out of the guitar by accident, and started laughing. And it was damn brilliant. The other day at a show here, it happened to a dude. I laughed pretty heartily...

Edit: and Rob, oh hell no man. I would follow suit if I somehow missed them.

And Toronto's pretty close to New York, so why do they bother playing there?
