Of course I doubt the internet will come to an end. It has become too important to just die. What a poor way for the Information Age to die. But it would be a dream come true; freeing ourselves from the bonds of the computer screen to re-enslaving ourselves to the television screen. All just shadows on the back of the cave's wall, really.

avantgarde1 11.26.2007 04:35 AM

fuck that! whatever would i do at work?

SpectralJulianIsNotDead 11.26.2007 04:41 AM

hey hey my my the internet will never die

It's probably because of all the people posting pointless crapola on internet message boards. If people stopped posting worthless bullshit on here it would probably extend the internet's lifespan by a couple of years.

right.
The reasoning behind that article is something like
"I'm gonna die in a week. That is, unless I eat and drink as usual."
Who's in charge will spend money to make more money.

Oh yes, the internet will not die. Just not be able to host so many large files. It could still go on, I suppse.

Of course I have a feeling that continuous, new content is the very nature of the internet and to stop this is to stop the internet but that's just a theory. And an uneducated one at that.

sarramkrop 11.26.2007 06:23 AM

It's back to the pub, then. It will also mean that we'll all have more bruises on ou faces, since there won't be anymore bickering to do on internet forums.

i'd become addicted to the "instant viewing' feature of netflix, lately.

and of course all of tv is going to go that way to. internet video is the new hot medium in advertising, and the advertising industry will find a way to pay for those pipes. trust me. it's just exploding this year, that's why everyone is being caught with their pants down.

The world was supposed to end in 2000.

val-holla-ing 11.26.2007 10:20 AM

the internet will never die. it will only become the lifernets.

pantophobia 11.26.2007 10:48 AM

i had a larger post but i accidentally deleted it (for the best), so i will sum up and say they will probably delete derelict cindy crawford and star trek ds9 fan sites and start mandatory charging for youtube and flickr to pay for their infrastructure

Inhuman 11.26.2007 12:19 PM

man, without the internet, how can I get my daily dose of Swa(y)'s posts?
