i suck at doing work! i have two essays due (one on friday, one on monday) neither have even been started yet. how the fuck can i make myself work? any tips?

lock yourself in this and give the key to someone you trust.
the key shall not be provided to you until you finish the essays.

other bondage techniques might work as well.

i'm very good at procrastination myself, can't really offer any advice, lucyrulesok... i have a week to do a whole shit load of drawings and models... i'm printing out what i have now, and it's not impressive. maybe i should get a male chastity belt.... i have too many tools in my studio though... i can see myself freaking out during class and shoving some bolt cutters down my pants or something...

Sometime it's really hard to get into the mind set - and I know with myself I normally end up (or used to, for now) stay up the night before a deadline to complete things. If you can afford for it I think trying to get into that mind set really helps - like not trying to force anything if you can - like put on some really loud music or read a book and just relax and get into a kind of inspired mood - the the work will hopefully come easier. It doesnt always help, but it's a suggestion.

Try to see if you are likely to develop some skills that allow you to work better when you are under pressure. If you are that way inclined, it might be the way you get the job done in a shorter amount of time.

ahh i have a huge thing due tomorow and a huge thing due friday, and i need to get a move on!
