Neil Young, where are you?
 

First off all, I'm a big fan of Neil Young.
And I'm from Belgium.
I'd like to hear your opinions about the disgusting entrance fee Neil asks on his European tour. It's 130 euros for the best places. That's like 150 dollars I guess.
I'd say he'd become a damn kapitalist!

yeah it's ridiculous.
But I don't think Neil has a hand in the show economy, or he just doesn't care anymore.
But because of these 50 year olds who can afford it, it still sells out

sit in the cheap seats, bring some binoculars? get a press pass? become Neil's friend?

Cheap seat? binoculars? For being a lifetime fan? I don't think so. Finally Neil shows up in Belgium, but than again it's only for the rich. I guess I got ripped off by good old mr. "heart of gold"!

It's understandable. The demand on the guy to perform is very high. He can ask for it and he will get it, get it from the people who are willing to pay whatever he wants them to pay - dedicated fans.

Who is that lady with the big nose turned actor? Shit, can't remember her name. Well anyway, she charged $500 for a show of hers that I recall.

There's a lot of economic discrimination in the music world.

It makes you wish caring bands like Fugazi made music that didn't suck.
