Echo & The Bunnymen will play "Ocean rain" live
|
I've always been fond of the Bunnymen, but when it comes down to it, the only full album of theirs that I've truly loved is Crocodiles. I always think of them more as a great singles band.
|
I'd check that out, but I wish it was Porcupine.

Yeah or Heaven Up Here. But then that's the problem with the Echo legacy, what is considered their "classic" doesn't necessarily reflect the peak of the group. What do you bet they encore with "Lips Like Sugar"? |
That would be painful.

echo and the bunnymen, meh... never a fan,
|
I only own a compilation by them. I listened to it tonight. Really good.
|
I sold a Bunnymen Cd to a pawn shop yesterday.. I have a few, but .. I didn't really need "songs to learn and sing".
Uh.. anyway. I really enjoy "heaven up here" a lot. I'm about to pull it out actually. GREAT album. Their best song is "pictures on the wall" though. |

Their first three albums are brilliant and Ocean Rain is quite good, though I don't like it as much as any of the earlier three. Then the self-titled thing tried to make them into the next U2, which ruined the good songs on it, and since then it's been all downhill. |
I thought the Electrafixion stuff was all right.
They were great live. |
the best thing about ocean rain is the pr campaign that advertised it as "THE GREATEST ALBUM EVER RECORDED."
|
Oh, let me say someting about Heaven Up Here... "Over the Wall" is one of the most epic songs ever.
|
Over The Wall is indeed one of their finest moments.
The drums sound completely massive. |
Over the wall is my favorite song of theirs. Echo and the bunnymen are excellent. I saw them at Six Flags New England in 97 when they were still playing People are Strange by the Doors
|
how bad is there 97 onwards stuff though! it makes me ill! i bought 3 of those albums for $5 each ages ago and recently sold them on ebay. they were a stench in my cd collection. i do love the old stuff though.
