we all know there is something wrong w/ this cat, i think we should all pool our $$$ together and get him some professional help, you know show up at his house, sit in a circle and express our true feelings for this man/woman... then toss him in the back of a white window-less van and whisk him away to a nice psychiatrist. atari it's ok, we love you. who's in?

I'm a pussycat most of the time, jerkass.

But whenever I make a fool out of someone because they are being foolish it always comes to this "atari is mentally ill" trash.

I don't think people denigrating discussion into lame-ass 7th grade name calling contests is anything anyone can defend, but it is pretty easy to ignore too.

How many of these stupid threads have we ended up with, though, where somebody felt victimized enough to turn around and post a whole meaningless topic full of their troll-feeding?

Of course in an internet flame war on a message board, I suppose the dedicated topic is the biggest weapon anyone could muster. But doesn't that prove right away how completely meaningless and ineffectual such conflicts are? If your virtual neutron bomb does nothing, then maybe the whole war is a farce to begin with.

Here's a crazy thought, how about arguing about ideas with ideas and letting the cheap shot insults roll off like rain on a windshield leaving town (sorry a bit of a sad attempt at a Lee Ranaldo lyric parody in that metaphor there...)

Ears that stick out slighty, in a very flattering way.

I don't mind Atari. He's educated which can often prove enlightening, or atleast interesting. I just think he needs to smile more, because when people are continuously sour-pusses it gets boring and makes even the most light-hearted things, such as browsing an internet messageboard, overwhelming, not to mention even more menial than the task already is.

this was meant to be a joke, i honestly didn't think anyone would even respond. i think we can let it die now. thanks for the funny posts.
