Meat Loaf - Bat Out of Hell
![]() This is indeed a classic album. If you were young when it was released, get it out and listen to it or get the Classic Albums dvd of it. It has such a big sound. |
I had this on cassette when i was young. I enjoyed it at some point, but i haven't listened it in ten years or so.
|
I like some Meat Loaf. He was awesome in the Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Get it back out and listen to it. You'll appreciate it on a whole other level. |
he was good in the rocky horror picture show, but other than that he's kinda novelty. but i did love me some "do anything for love" (or whatever it was called) when the video came out when i was young. use to watch it on "The Box" back then.

meat loaf is hilarious, his music that is. so over the top and shit, it was like broadway metal.
meat loaf the man is pretty cool, he's been in some good movies. |
You have to be kidding me. A Meatloaf thread?
BRB, gonna go start a Bon Jovi thread now. |

Thurston and Jim O'Rourke are Meat Loaf fans :p |

Haha, typical response. So I guess that must mean Meatloaf is good, regardless of whether they actually are or not? :) |
Go and listen to the album.
Anyway, aren't you the guy who likes NOFX? |
Quote:
It would be very generous of me to say that NOFX were a tiny bit ridiculous. The mighty Meat is entirely riduculous. It's absurd. Genuinely brilliant, for all the very worst reasons. I fully anticipate a Cradle of Filth thread for the same reasons. |
Oh it's a definite over the top album, amd often cheesy. But it is epic. The songwriting is fantastic.
|
Bump.
I've been listening to this album lately, because I found out that Jim Steinman produced The Sisters of Mercy's This Corrosion (which I love), and Yout Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth was probably my first ever favourite song (when I was young, it would come on the radio often). It's a brilliant album, my album of the moment. |
I love "Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad", cos I was seeing this woman in my pre-gay days, and it weas "our" song *entire board throws up*
Meat is so absurd, he goes over into levels of genius. My mate Dave in Dublin keeps telling me, "Stop listening to that Whitehouse shite, and get with the Meat program!" |
I make a point of staying out of threads about shit music, but don't push me people!
|
I love this fat rocker. I even said it in the fat rocker thread.
Definitely showtune rock and roll. Really? Thurston is a fan? That's amazing. |
possibly in an ironic way?
|
I would do anything for love.... but I won't listen to meatloaf.
|
