Meat Puppets in Febraury High Times
 

The meat puppets as drug enthusiasts is a surprise to no one. With the right environment II or Up On The Sun will make the walls melt. Their last record Rise to Your Knees was a glorious comeback. Having seen them on the tour supporting it I have become a lifelong fan. I haven't been able to track down a copy of the interview though and would appreciate it if someone here could share it.


Discuss the trippability of the puppets, seeing them live or anything else

they are okay. i really like their first 7 inch and record. meat puppets II has it's moments. i never saw them live and i don't really want to.

I love their debut (super crazy bluegrass thrash!!!) and Meat Pupopets 2 is a masterpiece.

I love the Meat Puppets, at least on those early SST records.

You know what would be really weird. Seeing the Muppets in High Times. Grover's obviously a pot smoker from way back. Oscar the Grouch is either a wino or a crack addict. Miss Piggy is into the blow. Kermit's a narc.

Oh, I thought Miss Piggy was all disco and all, but yeah, good point. What's a fat person drug, then? Can't be ecstacy. She's way too much of a bitch.

Kermit's obviously doing this just to maintain his cover.
