So I went to see Pearl Jam last night, and outside the venue was that rat fink bastard... Jim Derogotis. He's the one that always gives bad reviews to Sonic Youth and says that Stevey Shell is a shitty drummer. I was really drunk, so I went up to him, tapped him on his fat shoulder, and told him that he was a shit head. I said that Steve Shelley is a great drummer and he didn't know what he was talking about. He said I was wrong but that Steve Shelly is a "really nice guy, but he can't play the drums". I told him he was a shit HEAD one more time for posterity and left it at that.

God I really dislike that smug bastard!

awesome, thats something ive wanted to do for years, specially since he started giving glorious reviews to COURTNEY LOVE (whom he obviously has a hard on for) and praising Kurt Cobain as the holy grail savior of rock from beyond the grave. as much as i love cobain's music... jim's articles about him post-death are excessively creepy and mythologizing. his book is titled "Milk It" which is a pretty apt terms since thats about all journalists are good for.

DeRogatis is a hack on many levels.
His book on psychedelia was deservedly and hilariously lambasted in the Wire a while back, which pleased me to no end. His review of the first Terrastock in 1997 was so offbase it made me wonder if he and I were even at the same show. Dorkus Malorkus.

I wanted to get tix for the MCI Center (or now the "Verizon Center") but the cash flow is low so I'll just have to make do with just seeing SY for now. I'm just glad I had money for that! The new album is rockin'!!! Unemployable is my favorite track. Eddie rules.....what a voice!
