shuffle setting on ipod...
They are ok I guess, but STOP INSISTING ON PLAYING THE SHINS LIKE EVERY OTHER FREAKIN' SONG, SHUFFLE SETTING ON IPOD!
|
Yeah, well, you don't have a name.
|
I'm glad you posted this.
I am CONVINCED that there is some sort of cosmic algorithm at work inside myPod. I pretty much only listen to random shuffle (either shuffle all or shuffle artist) and sometimes the song by song playlist is spoOOoky. by the way, the answer to yr "problem" can be found within iTunes. you can select the level of randomness involved in the shuffle. I like to keep it on same artist "some of the time", but this does not explain how myPod knows that Sonic Youth and Free Kitten are related! |
ipods are for pussies
|
The problem could easily be solved by deleting The Shins from your iPod, which would, indeed, be a good thing, afterthefact.
|
my nano must have a heart or a psychic connection with me.
I usually have around 1000 songs in it and more than once in random shuffle mode it played EXACTLY the song I was thinking of in that precise moment. spooky. we miss pookie. |

I should take the Shins off, not because I don't like them at all, but I never listen to them.

Thanks, I'll explore my iTunes tonight. |
i'm glad i'm not the only one who thinks iPods have some sort of AI built into the shuffle... weird combinations of stuff come up on a regular basis, but the freakiest thing was one time i had some friends over, and i had set iTunes up on fullscreen so you could scroll through the albums, like a jukebox. nobody had picked anything, so it was still just on shuffle. i was telling someone how good Dave Chappelle's Block Party was, and mentioned that Mos Def was in it. somebody else was saying he was good in Hitchhikers Guide. Meanwhile, the song ended. so what comes up next?
![]() mos def - black on both sides... it was like the freakin thing heard what we were talking about, called up mos def, then he shows up on my screen and he's all like... i heard you talkin bout me... what are the chances? 1 in 13373, because my iPod has 13373 songs worth of r0x0r noise and is 133t3r than any of ya'll suxx0r !Pod. |
I have trouble working the shuffle thing out.
And I'm not a fan of how Itunes puts your songs in alphabetical order rather than the actually album tracklisting. Minor problems. |

Doesn't do that for me. |
I'm not meaning onto my Ipod, just in the Itunes library. It puts it in normal order once I put the album on my Ipod.
One of my ear buds on my headphones are busted too, I think. It now sounds like a rattling can. |
See, that's why I didn't put any Shins on my Zune.
|
iTunes is (unfortunately) the most intuitive mp3 player I've ever used.
and when I say mp3 player, I mean aac. :( that's the only thing I hate about it, but I'm willing to forgive. |

There are preferences you can set that let you put the songs in order quite a few different ways. |
People who own iPods are cunts on sticks
|
Quote:
But why? |
because any other mp3 will do the same or better job for 1/4 of the price, especially in the case of shuffle
i hate my mini |
I still fail to see the point in calling ipods' owners "cunts on sticks", "pussies", "insert random insult". Is that some sort of penis envy?
