lets talk about champ bailey
![]() that's his fathead. he broke the longest non scoring play ever a few years ago when he ran back an interception 100 yards but fumbled on the one yard line. great cornerback and his fathead looks impressive. |
Oh, my aching sides!

|
yeah, quaterbacks don't really throw in his direction. i think he's the best cornerback in the league.

Even though he plays for the Broncos (AFC West rival of the Chargers), I've always liked Champ and admired his cornerback play. Going into his tenth NFL season next year, he is getting a bit older now though. But hey, that's just experience, right? He's been to the pro bowl eight times in his nine seasons and been a top player as recently as 2005 and 2006 in interception TDs and total interceptions.
Bailey is a consummate athelete. He played for my alma mater at the University of Georgia. As a Bulldog, he was a wide receiver and cornerback, returned kicks and punts, and occasionally passed the ball too. He was one of those iron man type of players that was contributing something significant on the field constantly. During this time, the Georgia players used to frequent this bar called The Fifth Quarter and townies and fratboys alike would go down there and drink amongst the football players. The bar only lasted a little over a year though because there were too many fights haha. |
Champ is a great player and the Skins could really use him again now!!
I was kind of pissed when we traded him for Portis, but Portis has played really well minus the injury bug here and there. |
hell, the Houston texans could use Champ Bailey covering the right side while Dunta Robinson covers the left. that would rule!
|
This is a strange post for non NFL season. What prompted it?
I've thought about ordering a fathead as a goof for a friend of mine. I haven't checked the prices but I'm sure it'd be too expensive to be worth it. Though thinking about it makes me laugh. |
