SYR3
 

had this on this lunch time with my coffee and book. Its amazing.
just thought it deserved a thread.
Sure 1 and 2 are good, but 3 is my new 6:)

Yeah, it's my favorite SYR! It's just so great, just like a musical trip, everything sounds really strange, the atmosphere's really special, but it's fantastic!

This record consistently blows my mind, has been doing so for the past 15 years for fuck sake.

SYR 3 is one of my favs, as well as the SY6..


Basically I like EVERYTHING Jim did with Sonic Youth, and miss that era..

I like 1, 2, 5, 7, 8 and 9 more. :|

It´s really hard to me say, which is my favourite SYR: 1, 2, 3, 6, 7 or 9 (maybe it´s 1 or 9). But anyway I loved SYR3 immediately (wish I could find it someday in a clear vinyl). I used to have a tradition to listen SYR3 in a midsummers night with few beers (it just seem to fit into that night´s atmosphere). This year I wasn´t at home, so I didn´t listen it.

Last summer I really got into 5. In a big way
syr5 and body/head on rotation but I think I prefer 5

5 took me years but it's amazing. I like listning to NYCG&F and SYR5 back to back.

I like to listen to NYCG&F on the Metro on the way to work but on those days in the winter when its still dark in the morning.. the SYRs are also great Metro music because you need a free 45 minutes to get zoned out and Zen..

I love Body/Head coming apart much more than SYR5. I like SYR5, but don´t listen it very often. When I bought it I listen it many times, but still I think it´s just ok record. I think Kim & Ikue has a lot better performance in Helsinki 2012 than the music on SYR5.
