How would you prefer to die?
 

I was talking with my girlfriend about this, and wondering how very few people actually are lucky to die in their sleep in advanced age, and how very very few animals are afforded that luxury.

How would you prefer to die?

Asleep when I'll be old for sure... or, by surprise. I wouldn't like knowing that I'm going to die, the last moments must be really painful, I mean you KNOW that death's about to occur and you're like, thinking that what's around you is the last thing you're going to see and you only have a few hours left and everything, you're thinking about how to spend time and everything and all and you're scared and BLAH that must be scary!

I voted "heroically, saving someone else", but not for the "heroic" side of that, rather for a more egoistic point of view, I'd like to die doing something worth my life. Originally I answered "saving someone I love" in that other thread, that explains better what I mean, I'm not sure saving a generic "someone" could work :D.

i wanna make peace and say goodbye to my loved ones but the prospect of a long illness is quite fucked, so i'm not voting on this one.

Doesn't really matter to me as long as it isn't painful. One way out is as good as another. Not like I'm going to have a chance to reflect on it or anything.

My option is not on there. I choose in the snow. I've heard that you get cold, pass out, then you're done with. Apparently, it's pleasant.
