it's not out in america yet and i ain't paying $38 for the import. btu i will be purchasing it when it arrives cross the pond.

i have to say that this album is pretty terrible.

it betters to acceptable level towards the end, but it's very cringeworthy.

It's the feature album on Triple J all week, so Australians can hear the whole thing. I'm not really a fan, but it beats hearing the same Interpol song over and over and over....

wow thats a bummer. im in the opinion that nick cave should throw in the towel with the bad seeds and shift to grinderman being his main focus. the grinderman record was such a breath of fresh air after the last few lackluster bad seeds alblums, it just plain fucking rocks. bad seeds have been around for over 20 years now, its time to move on. i was really hoping dig lazarus dig would be a return to form too, im a nick cave worshipper as well so this depresses me.

keep in mind i've never really liked the bad seeds though. so perhaps you'll like it, release the bats.

Youv'e got to be kidding? The last Bad Seeds release was top form. Without that album there would be no Grinderman, I think.

it was no murder ballads

It's a completely different record though. Murder Ballads is no Let Love In, etc etc.

i thought murder ballads was just a novelty record, good but not even close their best. i really liked the boatmen's call and no more shall we part. i prefer the piano ballad songs in the bad seeds over the more rocking songs. that's why i think it was a good idea for grinderman, he could rock out with his cock out in that band and then write some amazing ballads in the bad seeds.

not many ballads on the new one though.

nick plays guitar on this one as well. not that matters. im loving the new one marcos!

I'm sure I'll be buying the album on the day it comes out, but I can't get overly excited about it. The last great NC&TBS album, in my opinion, was The Boatmans Call, and all the ones since then have had their moments, but have also had too much stuff that doesn't really hit the spot.

It'll be great when it's played live though.

sorry paul, but it sounds like the bad songs in the grinderman album. i like like 3 songs but...

...if you liked the song "dig lazarus dig!!!" then you'll probably love the album, i think the song is horrid.
