Dolemite is great fun. There are parts like the outdoor scene where he talks to a junkie for about 5 minutes where you can't uinderstand jack shit. the ending is weird too.

I prefer Truck Turner as a movie better.

Dolemite shows that overweight average to ugly looking guys can kick ass and get laid just like Hollywood superstars. ...okay - maybe not "just like"...

I can't remember properly, but there were good moments, especially the ones when he talks and talks and raps, looking pretty happy. The end of the movie is ludicrous. There was a sequel; perhaps slightly er better, if better serves with B minus movies.

My fave blaxploitation flick so far remains The Thing with Two Heads, which ends after a over stretched (still highly enjoyable as it shows the crew had fun) car and moto race http://fr.youtube.com/watch?v=gWHNA_j7h5A
The hero isn't as starlike as Dolemite I admit.

I'd really like to see Black Belt Jones, who's quite a star and practices kung fu - except that he kicks in the balls.

shaft is boring, but has a great soundtrack. i had shaft in africa and it sucked hard, but it has a funny part where he's fighting in a barn or something naked and all of sudden you accidently see his cock pop up and down. i think they didn't mean for that to happen.
