klaus defined motorik drumming, a true influence for many (myself included).

Listening to the first Neu! album now. I still have a hard time believing this was made in 1972. Klaus' drumming on this album sounds fucking huge.

i'm just realizing, neu! was the first krautrock band i ever was into. i could never get to listen to can and i thought faust were too weird, but "hallo gallo" was such a perfect song, i couldn't stop listening to it.

same here if you don't count kraftwerk.


the first neu! album is some of the best shit ever. they were way ahead of their time.
