drrrtyboots 05.21.2008 05:17 AM

Not worth the $52 ticket price at Roseland. I do love them but it is a reunion afterall and a ridiculously priced one at that.

Cantankerous 05.21.2008 05:18 AM

i don't really care
i don't have to pay rent anymore so it's like what else am i gonna spend it on?

drrrtyboots 05.21.2008 05:22 AM

Yeah, for your situation it works out fine. I'm satisfied enough with most of the shows worth seeing in new york this summer being free. Something tells me MBV will tour a few more times in the future anyhow.

Cantankerous 05.21.2008 05:27 AM

too bad i won't be here almost all summer
which makes me kindof sad anyway but i have a feeling since it's been weirdly cold it's gonna be extremely hot all summer.

drrrtyboots 05.21.2008 05:30 AM

That's probably about right. Or at least disgustingly humid, you won't be missing much on that front.

Cantankerous 05.21.2008 05:35 AM

it's like 45 degrees outside! this is unholy.
this is coat weather.
you know. at the end of fucking MAY.

atsonicpark 05.21.2008 06:09 AM

$52? Uh...

You know, there's plenty of awesome bands that play every day for like $6 or $7. But a decent band who hasn't played a show in like 16 years playing, and it's $52?! Wow. Oh well, it's your guys's money, none of my business. Hope you have fun. I'll watch some songs on youtube maybe.

Cantankerous 05.21.2008 06:45 AM

i never got the chance to see them because i was a small child when they last played, which was like what? 92 or something?
again with not having to pay rent etc. i don't really have anything else to spend money on. well i do but this is better.

atsonicpark 05.21.2008 07:11 AM

Completely understandable... though I'd never pay that much to see any band.

Cantankerous 05.21.2008 07:17 AM

i didn't pay for coachella this year but the last two years i shelled out major. but i usually never pay more than $25 for anything although $50 seems plenty reasonable to me?

Cantankerous 05.21.2008 07:29 AM

i honestly don't give a shit how much it costs. it's just money. i'm sure i'll enjoy it.

they don't want the tickets to fly off the stands when they go on sale, so they raise the price so that not everybody that wants to see them can.

you should count your blessings, it's $50 odd dollars for mbv; here, megadeth tickets are pretty much the same price, and the venue they are playing at is practically a concrete warehouse.

atsonicpark 05.21.2008 11:23 AM

Megadeth?!

Everyneurotic 05.21.2008 11:26 AM

well, dave mustaine and a bunch of hired mit studio musicians.

atsonicpark 05.21.2008 12:09 PM

"I don't sing; I just shout - ah! All on one note - ah! Sing sing sing sing-ah!"

copper 05.21.2008 01:13 PM

what the fuck is wrong with them? i freaking hate this only playing in bigger cities thing they have.

fuckers.
