How do you do it, and who do you imitate?

Since Elvis, the Beatles, the Stones, and Bob Dylan, among others, revolutionized popular styles of dress, maybe we all dress to some extent or another like rock stars?

not to sound like a cliché but i don't dress like anyone in particular, i don't immitate anyone.

Okay, I don't mean imitation so much as inspiration. Tho I don't really think anything is wrong with imitation.

There's nothing wrong with imitation. There's nothing truly and entirely original about anything anybody does. It's all based on something else.

It's a well-accepted idea, even by the most innovative artists. You can be innovative to the nth degree, but you can't get away from the fact that everything evolves from something.

I had Thurston/Stone Roses hair, but that's all.

I have long hair, similar to (but not intended to be like) Kurt Cobain's in style and colour.

of course everything EVOLVES from something but that doesn't mean it's based off of anything

my hair grows out of my head brown.
bob dylan, keith richards, david bowie, courtney love, patti smith, thurston moore, kim gordon (bitch has roots and you know it), steve shelley, and just about every other fucking rockstar have naturally brown hair.
i'm such a copycat.

Then other days I wish I had Daniel Craig's clothes in Casino Royale.
