huh first ive heard of a brother

him and his brother haven't played together in a long time huh.

It was several years ago, but I distinctly remember that the first time I posted about Gene, I was immediately hit with a wash of supposed corrections because all google had at the time was some other name.

Fine sets last night, Metal Mountains performed a careful, studied folk style that would sit right next to Espers...Thurston ended up playing with X.0.4 - kind of an expanded Noho Wools, 2 drums, 2 gtrs, strong freeish drumming pushed everyone along while the gtrs hurled shards of electric skree into our stressed heads...Rehab was full, not packed, and it was a curious crowd. Good gig for organizer Tom Surgal. For the first time I noticed Thurston not only has many fanboys, but he also has a bunch of fangirls. I'm just saying...

I so wanted to go to that. Oh, and I'm totally a fangirl.
