How often do you listen to SY?

Once every 2 months, if I have to pick. If there was an option "a couple of times in a month", that'd suit me more.

I actually only listen to a few selected records that I truly love anymore. Such as 5-6 regular CDs and 1-2 SYRs. And some Text of Light here and there.

About once a week, but usually a little less.

The last things I've listened are SYR7, SYR8 and Slow Revolution, but those are all new releases. If we don't count those and just take into account older records that we've already heard before and listen again, then I can't even remember the last time. Must've been months ago for sure.

i listen to them a few times a week. i mean, they have records for so many moods. if i want a record that meets the perfect balance of noise and pop, ill pop in 'daydream nation'. if i want some grimey post-no wave noise punk, itll be 'bad moon rising' or 'confusion is sex'. if i want guitar noise, 'silver sessions'. if i want some proto grind hardcore nustoness, 'tv shit'. if i want to light a spliff and jam, 'murray street' or 'a thousand leaves' will do. if i want some experimental compositions, 'syr4'. catch my drift? they are a fucking amazing bands that have made incredible records in a shitload of different styles.

I play sonic youth at least 3 times a weeek, more if you count the MP3's in my cell phone

But I do this thing every year (usually around mid-winter) where I listen to an album a day, every day in sequence. Like today I'll listen to SONIC YOUTH, tomorrow I'll listen to CONFUSION, and so on until I've listened to all the LP's in order. I usually include SONIC DEATH, MADE IN USA, and the SYR's as well. It's a nice tradition.

I think once in every couple weeks... but honestly bits of songs are triggered in my mind on a number of occasion in "normal life"...

Leaving aside when the odd track pops up at random on my mp3 player, a couple of times a week on average. I dozed off to the b-side of SYR7 last Friday and gave Rather Ripped a spin over the weekend for the first time in at least 6 months.

J'Accuse, Master-Dik and HAFS are all on my mp3 player right now.

Not very often, about every six months but it's not a scheduled thing.

I listen to them often, but not all the time like I used to, I really don't want them to become complacent like I've done with so many other bands.

That's weird , but today this forum reminded me of Sonic Youth , so I listened to Dirty and Goo in a row .
That was nice , except for some lame riffs on Dirty.
