Not Nantucket, but Martha's Vineyard has a REALLY great record store that hosts shows of an interesting nature on a regular basis...

i live on cape cod, well, in the summer anyways, sandwich mass to be exact. and i still have never been to nantucket. i heard its yuppie central. well, cape cog in general is pretty yuppieish. i used to go to marthas vineyard everday though when i was working for a friend's dad's construction company. rent mopeheads if youre there.

o dont get me wrong, sandwich has its fair share of middle class and even redneck types. but cmon man, up untill the last 15 years most of the cape has been mainly veiwed as a retirement communities. the old rich waspies are still kickin around in hordes. i hate sandwich to be honest, one of the few republican towns in mass, and worse than that, its like all the ignorance in the country congregates here. everytime i go to a bar i have to listen to jewish and black jokes, in fucking 2008! not to mention, minus the summer, its boring and cold. thats why i moved far away from home as possible for school.

the water is FREEZING dude. but yes, its very beautiful here. go to nauset, thats where the beaches are best, and the waves rule. i generally go there every weekend to surf, but my shoulder's fucked up at the moment so i havnt been all summer.
