the Haditha Massacre

many say it makes the events at Abu Ghraib pale in comparison. ![]() |
read it in the newspaper yesterday.
so fucked up How was the press coverage of it in the USA? |
It was a prominent story in the news & it's just finally gaining real attention yesterday as the cover-up has been exposed.
|
oh
ok newspaper here wrote that the american press would probably define down this tragic and sad facts. |
Everything is fucked. There are seriously some fucking disturbed people in the military making dumb decisions that we will all pay for. Sadly, the Army Reserve "group" or whatever that were involved with Abu Ghraib were from my hometown Cumberland, Maryland......which is also an American town that had some of it's folk with signs staked in their front lawn that said "10,000 Dead Towel Heads For Every Dead American" after September 11th. Fucking psychos.
The military-police prison guards, the former official said, included “recycled hillbillies from Cumberland, Maryland.” He was referring to members of the 372nd Military Police Company. Seven members of the company are now facing charges for their role in the abuse at Abu Ghraib. “How are these guys from Cumberland going to know anything? The Army Reserve doesn’t know what it’s doing.” http://www.newyorker.com/fact/content?040524fa_fact -from about the middle of the article |
the hate on american troops will grow and grow.
more terror (on both sides) -> more war activities -> more suffering hard times are comming. I feel so sorry for all the people (on both sides). so much shit is happening these days. sorry for my english |
Yr English is fine dude and yr right.
Here's some more crazy crap about my hometown and Abu Ghraib. They also got rid of the Sundance Channel which says a lot too.....fuckerz. http://home.earthlink.net/~exodus22/essays/blame.htm http://wb11.trb.com/bal-md.soldiers2...ll=wpix-home-3 http://www.ireland.com/focus/uselect...051923491.html And I thought our claim to fame was William H. Macy...... |
My Lai, anyone?
![]() These guys will never learn... |
the problems are going to get worse..
we're not talking about a liberals vs. conservatives polarization, just limited to the western world, but rather a polarization of the entire planet.. |
this story has been around for a while and i am suprised that it has taken this long to get wider public access. from what i have seen on the subject it would certainly look like marines did infact go nuts and kill several civilians. this is based on their constant changing story, the evidence at the scene i.e. the fact that the marines said they did not fire into houses when clearly the houses are riddled with bullets and so many eye witnesses. what a mess.

aka the people who don't respond to this thread are uncool thread http://news.google.com/news?q=the+Haditha+Massacre&hl=en&lr=&rls=DVXA,DVX A:2004-32,DVXA:en&sa=X&oi=news&ct=title |
Things just keep getting more and more fucked.

The saddest part is, I don't think this will change much in the way the public speaks about the war, or attempts to question what is really going on in Iraq. I realize Bush has the lowest approval rating of all time, but what comes of that? Major news outlets are reporting daily how awful things are, and it all goes by the way side. The ignorant majority who supported the war three years ago, have not changed their minds.
People are just too damn stupid to care... |
and politicians in britain still say they would vote yes for the war. the thing is british politicians had to vote to go to war based on wmd, the clandestine network of chemical and biological weapons, possibly even nuclear weapons and not regime change. everyone knew it was really for regime change in the vein hope that other nations would follow suit and overthrow their oppressive governments. it would appear we have not learnt a thing from centuries of conflict.

"Pentagon sources said the killings began after a roadside bomb killed 20-year-old Lance Cpl. Miguel Terrazas at 7:15 a.m. on November 19 in Haditha, a city along the Euphrates River in western Iraq.
The Marines originally reported that 15 civilians also died in that blast. But according to the Pentagon sources' account, the Marines immediately suspected four Iraqi teenagers in a taxi and fatally shot them, along with the driver, when the Marines said they failed to lie on the ground as ordered. The hunt for the bombers then moved to a nearby house, where seven people -- including two women and children -- were killed. Then eight people, including six women, were shot and killed next door, while women in a third house were not harmed, the sources said. In a fourth house, four men were killed." -CNN This is what happens when you use free video games to recruit soldiers. The nations of this world has always been to willing to send boys into combat instead of men. I think the Marines though are more perverted than the normal army. Just the training is perverted. |

"God take revenge on the Americans and those who brought them here. They have no regard for our lives."
3 innocents killed, 1 terrorist created. Good job US marines! |
I don't know why anyone is surprised by this....you take a bunch of hopped up jocks, give them guns and put them in a place where they are hated ( for damn good reason)...
I DONT support the troops.... But, that has become the big taboo today... might as well call yourself a terrorist... effing country of sheep... |
