Remixes
 

I'm enjoying a lot of remixes these days, especially ones that change a track quite dramatically without forgetting the best parts of the originals. What are your favourite remixes and does anyone know of any music blogs dedicated to remixes?

Ive bought the limited edition of ten (inluding the outtakes/remix cd) and was totally blown away by the whole album, and then the remix, I would say that was some kind of keymoment when it comes to electronic music I think. never thought before that it can be so....(attention):deep

I've always wanted to hear the hip hop remix of Kool Thing. If only SY would release it.

Mogwai Fear Satan (My Bloody Valentine Remix) comes to mind.
The whole Mogwai remix album (Kicking A Dead Pig) is pretty great. I love the Summer Klute's remix. Mogwai Fear Satan Surgeon's remix is also beautiful.

Last remix album I heard was the HEALTH one, and I wasn't really impressed. There's a few good remixes there (the Acid Girls one are very good, and Nosaj Thing is excellent as always), but most of the time it's dull I think. The worst being that kind of manga remix, "Tricetatops [CFCF Rmx]"

I don't know the originals but I enjoyed those tracks al shabbray, the Holy Fuck mix of MIA's Paper Planes is one I've been enjoying recently, I'll upload it later for anyone interested

oh, rather than a proper remix, this is more a little mashup (or wathever these are called) I did with terranova's "concepts" and Beastie Boys "stop that train". I like how those "interacts" in the track.
