these are only records I know are being made or coming out soon, I could list every active band, but I don't know when or if they're planning on releasing another. I'm sure the next Shellac won't be for another 4-5 years, so that's not worth mentioning for example

im in agreement with those that "dont look forward to records, just get hyped as they come along", but im very stoked for the new lightning bolt, especially after talking to brian gibson a few weeks ago. also, the thurston/eye/jad fair record has been striking my curiosity, as well as the thurston/prurient collab. a new deerhoof can never be bad, and the next squarepusher should be interesting (didnt know he had anything coming out).

I'm kind of like that Batreleaser and EmmaH, but these are more of things that are on the radar.

TV on the Radio- heard a song from it, so now it is on the radar
Sonic Youth- follow this site, saw that they've got some new songs live
Deerhoof- I've been obsessed with Deerhoof lately, so I found out there is one pretty soon.
Gary Wilson- I was looking at his myspace, saw he's got a new album coming up
Obits- looking on the Hot Snakes wikipedia and saw that Froberg has a new band. Listened to some live stuff on youtube and on their myspace. Saw they've got an album in the works.

I don't necessarily read a list of albums coming out, I find out in different ways. Usually after the album comes out unless it is related to a band I've been following.
